Bolivia has had an up and down curve of coffee production over time due to a multitude of socio-economic factors. Despite this, there is modern wave of specialty micro-lot production and export largely thanks to Daniella, Pedro and Pedro Pablo - the Rodriguez family.
This Gesha micro-lot lies on a lush, steep mountain valley in the settlement Villa Rosario, near Caranavi.
The farm is La Llama, one of twelve farms owned by the Rodriguez family and operated by their exporting business Agricafe.
We’ve been buying from the Rodriguez family for 3 years now and this is our first coffee from La Llama.
Thanks to the Gesha variety and the purpose designed drying process on raised beds, and then in static “Coco” dryers this coffee has an amazing juicy body and lots of tropical fruit notes.
